Conference: INURA 2026 İstanbul, City, Now! / Haydi Şehir!
INURA 2026 Istanbul, titled “City, Now! / Haydi Şehir!”, is the 34th INURA Conference taking place in Istanbul on June 4-8, 2026. The conference brings together international participants around urban research, urban struggles, local production practices, ecology, housing, governance, and collective learning processes.


Workshop: Unlearning Assemblies: Localities, Engagements and Earth Pedagogies
The Urgent Pedagogies workshop “Unlearning Assemblies: Localities, Engagements and Earth Pedagogies,” with Aslı Kıyak İngin as speaker and participant, took place in Midyat and Batman on 24–28 September 2025. The workshop brought together researchers, artists, designers, and local actors to discuss localities, ecological destruction, slow violence, earth pedagogies, and critical spatial practices.


Forum: Sustainability Forum for Emerging Practices
Organized by Beinsitu as part of the satellite events of the New European Bauhaus Festival, the Sustainability Forum for Emerging Practices takes place online on 13 June 2026. The forum focuses on urban agriculture, sustainability, circular economy, ecological awareness, and collaborative practices with local communities.


Documentary Series: Beyoğlu Symphony, Beyoğlu’s Less Visible Stories of Production and Craft
The six-film documentary series “Beyoğlu Symphony,” prepared by İmre Azem within the scope of the Beyoğlu Senin initiatives, makes Beyoğlu’s ecosystem of production, trade, craft, and everyday life visible through different stories.


Event: “A Diverse Networking Evening: Connect & Collaborate” in Brussels
At “A Diverse Networking Evening: Connect & Collaborate” in Brussels, organised by we.are.diversa, Beinsitu’s work focusing on sustainability, cultural heritage, local practices, craft, and urban issues was shared. Bringing together participants from EU institutions, the private sector, civil society, and academia, the event offered an inspiring setting for exchange and new connections.


Opening and Exhibition: “Bridging Art Deco: A Hidden Heritage from Istanbul to Brussels”
The “Bridging Art Deco: A Hidden Heritage from Istanbul to Brussels” exhibition welcomed visitors at the Faculty of Architecture of Yıldız Technical University between 23 February and 13 March 2026. Bringing Istanbul’s hidden Art Deco and modern architectural heritage to light, the exhibition returned to the city after Brussels and drew attention to cultural heritage, architectural history, and urban memory.


Exhibition: “Bridging Art Deco: A Hidden Heritage from Istanbul to Brussels”
Prepared in collaboration with Beinsitu Sustainability Institute, the DOCOMOMO_Türkiye Working Group, and Yıldız Technical University, the exhibition “Bridging Art Deco: A Hidden Heritage from Istanbul to Brussels” brings Istanbul’s hidden Art Deco heritage into view. The exhibition is open from February 23 to March 13 at the Dean’s Hall, YTU Faculty of Architecture; opening day is Monday, February 23, with speeches at 14:30 followed by the opening at 15:30.
