Event: “A Diverse Networking Evening: Connect & Collaborate” in Brussels

As part of “A Diverse Networking Evening: Connect & Collaborate”, organized by we.are.diversa, the work of the Beinsitu Sustainability Institute and the projects of Project Director Aslı Kıyak İngin focusing on sustainability, cultural heritage, local practices, craft, and urban issues were shared.

We were pleased to take part in “A Diverse Networking Evening: Connect & Collaborate”, organized by @we.are.diversa in Brussels.

The event brought together around 50 participants from European Union institutions, the private sector, civil society, and academia, creating a vibrant setting for exchange, collaboration, and new connections.

The evening began with an opening speech by Elena Kostadinova from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation. This was followed by Gizem Şıvka Pideci (@turquoisebrussels) and Işıl Ergeç, co-founders of @we.are.diversa who shared the starting point and aims of their initiative.

As part of the event, Beinsitu’s Senior Project Director, @asli.kiyak.ingin, presented Beinsitu’s work and her previous projects focusing on sustainability, cultural heritage, local practices, craft, and urban issues. The presentations were also accompanied by three women entrepreneurs who shared their work and vision: İpek Karaman (@pureharmony_home), Refika Kumbasar (@refika_kumbasar), and Selen Darı (@shakesandbrews).
